Connect Binance
Binance syncs daily with a read-only API key. Give it reading permission and nothing else, and use the Data Download Center for history older than 180 days.

Updated
What this does
Binance syncs automatically once connected, pulling once a day at 02:00 UTC.
Before you start
- Enable reading only. Do not enable trading, withdrawals or futures trading on the key you give VEXA. VEXA never places orders and does not need those permissions.
- The secret is shown once. Copy both the key and the secret when they appear.
- The API reaches 180 days. For anything older, download a file from the Data Download Center.
- Everything Binance reports is in UTC.
- Spot, futures and margin are supported and VEXA detects which one your file is.
Set up the automatic sync
Same on every platform
- In Binance, open your profile and go to API Management.
- Create an API key and choose the system generated option.
- Give it a label so you recognise it later.
- Complete the two-factor check.
- Set permissions to enable reading. Leave trading, withdrawals and futures trading off.
- If you want to restrict the key by IP, allow VEXA’s addresses: 34.117.63.187 and 35.199.78.164. They are also shown on the connection screen.
- Copy the API key and the secret.
- In VEXA, open the Binance page and paste both, then save.
Steps
Same on every platform
Download a file for older history
- In Binance, open the Data Download Center and choose Asset Transaction History.
- Set Data Type to Spot, Futures, Options or Margin, depending on what you traded.
- Set the report type to Trade History.
- Choose the contract type where it asks, for example USD-M or COIN-M futures, or leave it blank for all.
- Set Info Display to all.
- Set the time range.
- Set the file format to CSV.
- Generate the report, wait for it, then download.
- Upload it to VEXA.
- Repeat for each product type you trade.
Limits and gotchas
- Spot, futures and margin export separately. Upload one and the others are missing, with no warning. This is the crypto version of the per-segment problem, and it is covered in Some of my trades are missing.
- Fees are read from the file, so your profit figures are net rather than gross.
- A long-held spot position never closes inside an export window, so it will sit in Portfolio as an open position. That is correct: you have not sold it.
What you should see
After connecting, an Active badge and a first pull. After that the last-sync time advances once a day.
After an upload, a result panel naming a Binance spot, futures or margin format.
If it doesn’t work
- The key was rejected. Check the permissions. A key with no read permission fails immediately.
- It connects but pulls nothing. Your trading was outside the 180-day window. Download a file.
- You whitelisted an IP and it stopped working. Both VEXA addresses have to be allowed, not one of them.
