Upload a statement or CSV
Where the upload area is on each device, which file types VEXA accepts, and what happens while the import is running.
What this does
Takes a file you exported from your broker and turns it into trades. This is the most used route into VEXA and it works for every broker in the picker, including the ones that also sync.
Before you start
- Get the right export. Each broker’s article names the exact report, and taking the wrong one is the single most common reason an import finds nothing.
- VEXA accepts
.csv,.htm,.htmland.txt, up to 100 MB. MetaTrader statements are usually.htmor.html, and that is fine. Anything else is refused before it uploads. - If your broker runs on its own server clock, set the broker server timezone first. That is MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5, Moomoo, Tiger and NinjaTrader. See Set your broker server timezone.
- If you trade with DAS Trader Pro, the upload form asks you for the trade date. The export does not contain it.
Steps
- Open the broker’s page from Profile > Connected Brokers, or connect the broker first.
- Click the Manual Upload tab.
- Drag your file onto the drop zone, or click it and pick the file.
- Fill in the account alias field if this upload is creating a new account. Optional.
- Click Upload & Import Trades.
- Leave the tab open until the overlay clears.
- On Home, tap the circular avatar at the top right.
- Scroll to Connected Services and tap the account you are importing into.
- On Account Details, tap Manual Upload.
- Tap Select CSV File and pick your file.
- Confirm the upload.
- Leave the app open until the overlay clears.
- In the sidebar, tap the profile chip at the bottom, then View Profile.
- Scroll to Connected Services and tap the account you are importing into.
- On Account Details, tap Manual Upload.
- Tap Select CSV File and pick your file.
- Confirm the upload.
- Leave the app open until the overlay clears.
- On Home, tap the circular avatar at the top right.
- Scroll to Connected Brokers and tap the account you are importing into.

- Set the broker timezone in the dropdown on this screen if your broker needs one.

- In the sidebar, tap the profile chip at the bottom, then Connected Brokers.
- Open the Broker Connections page and tap your broker.
- Tap the Manual Upload tab.
- Pick your file.
- Start the upload and leave the app open until the overlay clears.
While it runs
A full-screen loader covers the app for the whole import and tells you to keep the tab or the app open. The messages move through “Importing your trades”, then “Trades imported, crunching your stats”, then “All done”. A large file genuinely can take a minute.
Behind that, VEXA works out which parser matches your file, reads the fills, merges them with any positions it already holds open on that account, reconstructs your trades, drops anything it already has, and recalculates your scores.
What you should see
A result panel with counts: how many closed trades were imported, how many open positions were saved, how many rows were already in your account, and how many rows had errors. It also names the format it detected. Every field is explained in Understand your import results.
The account you imported into is selected in the account filter afterwards, so the new trades are visible straight away.
If it doesn’t work
- “No trades were found in this file.” Almost always the wrong export. Check your broker’s article for the exact report name.
- The screen said it failed but the trades appeared anyway. The app stops waiting after five minutes while the server keeps working for up to nine. If the counts look right, the import succeeded. Reload before uploading again.
- The file was refused before uploading. VEXA takes
.csv,.htm,.htmland.txtonly, up to 100 MB. An Excel workbook has to be saved as CSV first. See File formats, size limits and upload errors. - You uploaded the same file twice. That is safe. See Re-upload files without creating duplicates.
