Manage multiple broker accounts
Add a second account under the same broker, rename accounts so you can tell them apart, and read the badges on each account row.
What this does
VEXA holds as many broker accounts as you have. A funded evaluation, a personal account and a second account at the same broker are three separate accounts, each with its own trades, and every metric can be read for one of them or for all of them together.
Before you start
- Accounts are grouped by broker. Expand a broker to see the accounts under it.
- Give them names. The default is “Default Account” for every one of them, which is no help at all once you have three.
- Adding a second account at the same broker usually means a second credential or a second file. VEXA does not discover your other accounts on its own, with one exception: an Interactive Brokers file covering several accounts is split into separate VEXA accounts automatically.
Steps
- In the sidebar, find the card with your name at the bottom and click View Profile.
- Scroll to Connected Brokers and expand your broker.
- To add another: click the dashed button inside that group. It reads Add Another, then your broker’s name, then Account.
- To rename one: click the pencil on its row, type the new name, press Enter.
- To open one: click the row, or the chevron at its end.
- On Home, tap the circular avatar at the top right.
- Scroll to Connected Services and find your broker.
- To add another: tap the button reading Add Another, then your broker’s name, then Account.
- To open one: tap its row to reach Account Details.
- In the sidebar, tap the profile chip at the bottom, then View Profile.

- Tap Connected Brokers.
- Tap your broker to see the accounts under it.
Reading an account row
Each row shows the account’s name, the account id your broker gave it, and when it last synced. The time is relative: “Just now”, “12 min ago”, “3 days ago”, or “Never synced” for an account that has only ever been imported from a file.
Three badges can appear:
- Primary, in blue. The account VEXA treats as your main one.
- Active, in green. Connected and working.
- Needs Reauth, in amber, with “Please reconnect this account” under the row. See Reconnect a broker.
A sync control appears on the row only when that broker supports automatic sync, the account is connected, and it does not need reauthorising. For a file-only broker there is nothing to press, which is correct rather than broken.
One upload, one account
An upload that carries no account of its own creates a new one. Upload two files from the same broker without telling VEXA which account they belong to and you get two VEXA accounts for one real account. Pick the account on the upload screen, or upload from inside the account you mean.
If it has already happened, the trades are fine, they are split across two accounts. Delete the spare account with the keep-trades option and the history stays.
What you should see
Each real broker account appearing once, named by you, under the right broker, with a last-sync time that moves after a sync. The account filter lists exactly the same set.
If it doesn’t work
- The row shows “Never synced” on a broker that should sync. The credential was saved but the first pull has not run. Sync it by hand.
- Two accounts for one real account. See the section above.
- Trades are missing from an account you know they were in. Check the filter first. See The account filter.
