How Intuition is calculated
What Intuition measures, the three rows on its tab, and the exact points formula sleep contributes.
What this does
Intuition covers timing and read: whether you enter and exit at the right moments, and whether you trade in the hours where you actually make money. It is suggested at 25 per cent of the VEXA Score, the smallest of the three shares.
What the model weighs
- Profit factor. A figure of 2.0 or above is read as a strong instinct for picking winners.
- Streaks. Runs of winning or losing days, read as consistency rather than luck.
- Time-of-day performance. The model is told explicitly that a trader who performs best between 9am and 11am but trades all day has poor intuition, because they are not respecting their own edge window.
- Entry and exit quality. Holding winners and cutting losers quickly.
- Sleep. Seven hours is treated as optimal for cognitive performance.
- Consecutive results. Long win streaks are read as pattern recognition rather than as variance.
Times in the analysis are always expressed in the market’s own timezone, so a note about “9 to 11 AM EST” means the market clock, not yours.
The three rows on the Intuition tab
Each row is labelled at 33 per cent weight. These are computed on your device over the last five trading days as an explanation. They do not produce the score.
| Row | The value | The rule |
|---|---|---|
| WIN STREAK, LOSS STREAK or NO STREAK | N days | A run of consecutive days with the same P&L sign. The heading changes to match which kind of run you are on |
| RISK:REWARD | X.X:1 | Average win divided by average loss. Arrow up at 2.0 or more, neutral at 1.0 or more |
| SLEEP QUALITY | Hours to one decimal place, plus a points figure | Two formulas, split at seven hours |
Sleep contributes points on a piecewise scale:
sleep ≥ 7 hours: points = (sleep − 7) × 2
sleep < 7 hours: points = (sleep − 7) × 5
The penalty below seven hours is two and a half times steeper than the reward above it. Six hours costs you five points. Eight hours earns you two.

What you should see
An Intuition number to one decimal place, three rows with arrows, AI contributing factors, and a written paragraph that usually names a time window or a symbol.
If it doesn’t work
- The streak row says “NO STREAK” after a good week. Streaks are measured on daily P&L signs, and a single flat or losing day breaks the run.
- Risk to reward looks wrong. It is average win over average loss across the last five trading days, not the planned ratio you set on any individual trade.
- Intuition moves when nothing else does. Sleep is one of three equal rows here, so a bad night shows up on this ring more visibly than on the others.
