When your referral reward arrives
The 7-day hold, how a free month is delivered on each billing rail, and when a reward can be reversed.
What this does
A referral reward is one free month, added to your own subscription. There is a wait between your friend paying and your month appearing.
The sequence
- Your friend signs up through your link and starts their 30-day trial. Their status reads Trialing.
- Their trial ends and their first payment clears.
- A 7-day hold begins. This is a fraud check, and it is not skippable.
- The reward vests. Their status turns Credited and your Months banked counter goes up.
- The month is applied to your subscription, pushing your next renewal date out.
- VEXA emails you, subject “{Friend} just got you a free month of VEXA”.
Rewards are processed once a day, so allow until the next day’s run after the hold ends.
How the month reaches you

Cancelled and came back?
Banked months are not lost when you cancel. They apply to your new subscription when you resubscribe.
The cap
12 free months per rolling year. Beyond that, further referrals are recorded but no more months are awarded in that window.
Each friend earns you one reward, once. Referring the same person again does nothing, and each person can only be referred by one referrer.
Reversals
If your friend’s first payment is refunded or charged back before your month was applied, the reward is reversed and their status reads Reversed.
A month that has already been applied is never taken back.
What you should see
On the Refer & Earn card: your friend moves to Credited, Months banked goes up, and after delivery Months applied goes up. Your subscription’s renewal date on Profile > Subscription moves out.
If it doesn’t work
- It has been less than 7 days since their first payment. The hold has not finished. Wait.
- Your friend is still on their trial. Nothing vests until money actually changes hands. A 30-day trial means the first payment is a month after they sign up.
- They show as Reversed. Their payment did not stick. Nothing is owed.
- You are at 12 months this year. The cap is reached. It rolls forward as older rewards age out.
- Everything says Credited but your renewal date has not moved, and you pay through the App Store or Google Play. See the note above and email support@vexatrade.ai.
