Downgrade your plan

Downgrades take effect at the end of the period you already paid for, which is why you still have Pro after asking for Edge.

Same on every platform Updated

What this does

Going from Pro to Edge, or from annual to monthly, is a downgrade. Downgrades never take effect immediately. You keep what you paid for until the end of the current period, then move to the cheaper plan.

That is why “I downgraded but I still have Pro” is correct behaviour rather than a fault.

Before you start

  • You are not refunded for the remainder of the period. You keep the features instead.
  • On the web you can undo a scheduled downgrade at any point before it takes effect.
  • Do this on the rail you bought on.

Steps

  1. Open Profile from the sidebar card at the bottom.
  2. Find the Subscription card and tap the plan row.
  3. On the Choose your plan page, press the button on the plan you are moving down to.
  4. Read the confirmation dialog. It names the date you keep your current plan until, and lists the features you will lose.
  5. Confirm.
  1. Tap the circular avatar at the top right of Home.
  2. Scroll to Subscription and tap Manage subscription.
  3. VEXA hands you to Apple’s subscription sheet, because Apple requires downgrades to run there.
  4. Choose the lower plan and confirm. Apple applies it at your next renewal.

What you should see

On the web, your current plan card turns green and reads “Current plan · Active until {date}”, with a Keep {Plan} button that cancels the downgrade. The plan you are moving to shows “Activating {date}” and cannot be pressed.

On iPhone, iPad and Android, the app shows the date your current plan runs until. It does not name the plan you are moving to, because the stores tell it the date but not the destination.

VEXA emails you either way, with the subject “Your plan changes to VEXA {plan} on {date}”.

Changing your mind

On the web, press Keep {Plan} on your current plan’s card at any point before the change date. The downgrade is cancelled and nothing is charged.

On iPhone, iPad and Android, undo it in the same store sheet where you scheduled it.

If it doesn’t work

  • You still have Pro features. Correct. Read the date on your subscription card. They drop on that date, not before.
  • You wanted to stop paying entirely. That is a cancellation, not a downgrade. See Cancel your subscription.
  • “We couldn’t schedule this plan change right now.” Nothing was charged. Try again shortly, then email support@vexatrade.ai if it repeats.
