Use a promo code

Promo codes are entered on the Stripe checkout page, not inside VEXA, and they work on the web only.

What this does

A promo code reduces what Stripe charges you. It is entered during checkout, on Stripe’s own page.

Before you start

There is no promo code field inside VEXA. Not on the web app, not on iPhone, iPad or Android. Anyone telling you to look in Profile for one is wrong.
Promo codes apply to web checkout only. On iPhone, iPad and Android, discounts go through Apple’s and Google’s own offer code systems, which VEXA does not control.
A promo code and a referral code are different things. See Apply a referral code.

Steps

Web only

Start checkout as normal from Profile > Subscription. See Start a subscription on the web.
Wait for the Stripe payment page to load.
Find Add promotion code on that page and open it.
Type your code and apply it.
Check the total updates, then pay.

What you should see

The order summary on the Stripe page shows the discount as its own line and the amount due drops before you pay.

If it doesn’t work

“That promo code is invalid or expired.” The code is not currently active. Check for typos and confirm the code with whoever gave it to you.
You cannot find the field. You are still on a VEXA page. The field only exists once Stripe’s checkout page has loaded.
You are on a phone. Promo codes are a web checkout feature. Subscribe on the web to use one.
