What Sentinel is, and what it is not
Sentinel watches your heart rate and HRV while you trade and speaks up when your body signals stress. It does not see your trades.
What this does
Sentinel reads your body while you trade. Heart rate, how far that heart rate has drifted from your own resting baseline, heart rate variability, last night’s sleep, and how long you have been sitting at the screen. When a rule you set is met, Sentinel interrupts you: a spoken line through the voice coach, a push notification, or a full-screen alert.
Sentinel does not see your trades. It has no live view of your positions, your P&L, or how many times you clicked buy this morning. It does not read your screen and it takes no screenshots. Every alert it sends comes from physiology, a clock, or a state it worked out from physiology.
Your broker can already tell you that you are down. What it cannot tell you is that your heart rate has sat 25% above your resting rate for the last ten minutes, which is usually the more useful warning.
After a session ends, VEXA lines that session’s heart rate up against the trades you logged that day, so the coach can mention it later when it reviews your week. That happens afterwards, from your imported trade history. It is not a live feed into Sentinel.
Before you start
Sentinel needs the Pro plan. During your first week of Full Access it is open to everyone, and after that it needs Pro. Free and Edge accounts see a locked preview instead of the dashboard.
Sentinel also needs a heart rate source, which means a phone and something that measures your pulse: an Apple Watch, a Wear OS watch, or a Bluetooth chest strap or armband. Without one, a session starts and reads nothing.
Sessions can only be started from the web, an iPhone, or an Android phone. iPad shows a session that is already running but cannot start one. See Sentinel on iPad and Android tablet.

What you should see
A page headed VEXA Sentinel on the web, or Sentinel in the apps, with the subtitle “Trading Psychology Monitor” on the web and “Trading Psychology Guardian” on the phones.
Before your first session the live card shows -- for every vital and a Start Session button
(Start Monitoring on the web). Below it sits the baseline card, reading 0 of 20 sessions. Both of
those are the correct starting state, not a fault.
If your plan does not include Sentinel you get a locked page titled VEXA Sentinel instead of the dashboard.
If it doesn’t work
The page is locked. Sentinel is a Pro feature. See Why a feature is locked.
You expected Sentinel to comment on your trades. It will not, and it is instructed never to. The coach discusses your trades in VEXA Chat, VEXA Voice and your weekly brief, drawing on your imported history.
Nothing happens when you start a session. No heart rate source is connected yet. See What you need to run Sentinel.
