Where interventions reach you

Voice, push, in-app and the full-screen overlay, plus the voice target picker and why an explicit pick can go silent.

What this does

An intervention is Sentinel telling you that your body has crossed a line you set. It reads physiology only, so what it says is about your state, never about a position. Once one fires, it can reach you four ways.

Voice. Spoken through your live voice session with the coach. The tone follows the severity: urgent for critical, gentler for warnings, warm for informational nudges.

Push notification. iPhone and Android only. The web never registers for push at all, so a notification is not something the web can send you.

In app. However it is delivered, the intervention appears on the live card and in your history, because the app is listening for it directly. This channel cannot be turned off and does not depend on notification settings.

Full-screen overlay. On Android a critical intervention takes over the screen, turns the display on and shows over the lock screen, with a Recommended Actions list and buttons to acknowledge it. Critical alerts there cannot be snoozed and the back button is blocked. On iPhone a critical intervention shows an overlay when the app is in the foreground.

Before you start

Voice needs a live voice session. If the coach is not connected, there is nothing to speak through. Turn on Auto-Connect Voice in the Sentinel settings and it connects when a monitoring session starts.

The voice target picker decides which device speaks. Four options: Any, Web, iPhone, Android. Any uses smart routing, and the web takes priority whenever its tab is open. An explicit pick speaks on that device only, and is silent if that device is offline.

Pick iPhone, leave the iPhone in another room, and the alert is delivered and never heard. There is one safety net: if an intervention is aimed at a specific device and that device has not checked in within two minutes, it is upgraded so a push notification backs it up. Mobile always gets that backup.

Critical Alerts Only limits voice to critical severity. Info and warning alerts then arrive as notifications instead. It does not silence them.

Voice Volume is a slider from 10% to 100%, separate from your device volume.

What you should see

When an intervention fires: the coach speaks it if voice is connected, a notification arrives on your phone, the alert appears in the live card list with a marker on the chart, and it is added to your history.

On Android, a critical one takes over the screen with its Recommended Actions and acknowledgement buttons.

The Interventions Delivered counter in the mobile Sentinel settings goes up.

If it doesn’t work

Nothing was spoken. No voice session was connected. Turn on Auto-Connect Voice, or open the voice coach before you start trading.

The web never sends notifications. Correct. The web has no push. Interventions reach the web through the open tab, so a closed tab receives nothing.

You picked a device and heard nothing. That device was offline or the tab was closed. Switch the target to Any, or rely on the push backup on mobile.

“Delivered” in the history but you never heard it. Delivered means it was sent to the voice channel, not that audio played. Check the device volume and that the app was in the foreground.

Only critical alerts speak. Critical Alerts Only is on. The rest are arriving as notifications.

No notifications at all on your phone. Either the master mute is on, or notifications are off for VEXA at the system level. See Mute intervention notifications.
