Build a rule with AI
Describe the rule you want in plain English and let VEXA's AI fill in the conditions, severity and action for you to check.
What this does
Turns a sentence into a rule. You type something like “tell me to take a break if my heart rate stays 20 percent over baseline for ten minutes”, and VEXA’s AI fills in the conditions, the operator and value for each one, a severity, an action type and a suggested name. You review it and save.
It is a drafting aid. The rule that gets saved is the one on screen after you have looked at it, so read the conditions before saving rather than trusting the sentence you typed.
Sentinel reads physiology, so the AI can only produce conditions from the seven things a rule can watch. Ask it for “warn me after two losing trades” and it has nothing to map that onto, because Sentinel does not see your trades.
Before you start
Be specific about numbers. “Warn me when my heart rate is high” gives the AI nothing to work with. “Warn me when my heart rate goes above 100” gives it everything.
Say how long, if duration matters. Several conditions accept a period, and mentioning “for ten minutes” is what makes the AI use one.
Say what you want to happen. A spoken intervention, a notification, or a suggestion to stop. That maps to the action type.
Everything the AI produces is editable afterwards, so a near miss is quicker to correct than to retype.
Steps
- Open VEXA Sentinel from the sidebar, then the Rules tab.
- Click Add Rule.
- Type your rule into the Description field, in plain English.
- Click Analyze Description to Create Conditions.
- Check every condition, the severity and the action that appear.
- Adjust anything that is not what you meant, then save.
- Open Home, tap Sentinel, then Trading Rules.
- Tap the add control to open Create Rule.
- Type your rule into the Description field.
- Tap Analyze with AI.
- Check every condition, the severity and the action.
- Adjust anything that is off, then save.

What you should see
The conditions list fills in with one row per condition, the severity and action pickers move to the AI’s choices, and the name field gets a suggestion if you left it empty.
Nothing is saved until you save it. Cancelling leaves your rules untouched.
If it doesn’t work
“Please enter a description first”. The description field is empty.
“Failed to analyze description. Please set conditions manually.” The request did not come back usable. Try again with a shorter, more concrete sentence, or build the rule by hand. On iPhone the same failure can read “Could not parse AI response” or “Unexpected response shape”.
The conditions are not what you asked for. Edit them. The AI drafts and you decide.
It ignored part of your sentence. Usually the part that Sentinel cannot measure. Rewrite it in terms of heart rate, heart rate elevation, HRV, sleep, time in session, session state or stress level. See Build a Sentinel rule.
It produced one condition where you expected two. Add the second by hand with Add Condition, and remember they combine with AND.
