Set your weekly watchlist and alerts

Add the tickers you want the weekly brief to consider, up to the 25-symbol cap, and turn alerts for high-impact events on or off.

What this does

Your watchlist tells the Weekly Overview which symbols to keep an eye on beyond the ones you have already traded. Symbols on it are taken into account when the next brief is written.

Before you start

The watchlist is set on the web. There is no watchlist editor in the iPhone, iPad, Android or Android tablet apps. What you set here is stored on your account, so the brief on every device reflects it.
Weekly Overview needs Pro.
The list holds up to 25 symbols.

Steps

Web only

Open Weekly Overview in the sidebar.
Scroll to the preferences block, headed Tailor your week.
Type a ticker into the field and add it. The placeholder shows the format expected.
Repeat for each symbol, up to 25.
To remove one, use the small remove control on its pill.
Set the High-priority event alerts switch as you want it.
Press Save preferences.

What the alerts switch does

High-priority event alerts notifies you shortly before high-impact economic releases and official speakers. Medium and low priority events never trigger an alert, so turning it on does not fill your day with notifications about minor data.

Alerts arrive as push notifications on your phone. The web browser does not deliver them, so the switch is set here and honoured by the app.

What you should see

Your symbols as pills under the input, and a confirmation that preferences were saved. The next brief generated for your account takes the list into account. Existing briefs are not rewritten, so the effect appears at the next generation rather than immediately.

Trying to add a 26th symbol reports that watchlists are limited to 25 symbols and does not add it.

If it doesn’t work

Save appears to do nothing. The save covers both the symbols and the alerts switch. Check for the confirmation, and if an error appears instead, try again.
Your symbols are not highlighted in the calendar. The brief has not been regenerated since you saved. Refresh the overview when the cooldown allows it.
You cannot find the block in the app. It is not there. Set it on the web.
A symbol will not add. You are at the 25-symbol cap. Remove one first.
