Advanced Analytics chart builder
Build a chart from any two of your metrics. The page has no link in the app, so you reach it by typing the address.
What this does
Advanced Analytics is a build-your-own chart page. You pick a chart type and two metrics, and it plots one against the other from your own trades. It answers questions the fixed widgets do not, such as whether your average position size tracks your win rate.
Before you start
There is no link to this page anywhere in VEXA. No sidebar entry, no menu item, no button. It is reachable only by typing the address, which is written out below.
- It needs Edge or Pro.
- It is a web page. There is no equivalent in the apps.
Steps
Web only
- Go to
https://app.vexatrade.ai/advanced-chart. - Pick a chart type: bar, line, scatter, pie or area.
- Pick the metric for the category or X axis.
- Pick the metric for the value or Y axis.
- Adjust the date range and account filter if you need to. This page uses the same global filters as the rest of VEXA.
Bookmark the address. Without a link in the product, that bookmark is how you get back.
The chart types
| Type | What it is for |
|---|---|
| Bar Chart | comparing categories |
| Line Chart | trends over time |
| Scatter Plot | correlation between two measures |
| Pie Chart | distribution |
| Area Chart | cumulative trends |
Scatter plots label the two controls X-Axis and Y-Axis. The other types label them Category and Value, because one axis is a grouping rather than a measure.
The metrics you can plot
| Group | Metrics |
|---|---|
| Performance | P&L, win rate, average win, average loss, profit factor |
| Volume | trade count, position size, average position size |
| Time | trade duration in hours, time of day, day of week, date |
| Instrument | symbol |
| Other | long against short, commission |
Some pairings are more useful than others, and nothing stops you asking for a combination with no meaning. The page will plot whatever you choose.
What you should see
A chart that redraws as you change either axis, and an empty state saying there is no data for the selected filters when the combination has nothing in it. That empty state usually means the date range is too narrow rather than that the pairing is invalid.
If it doesn’t work
- The address does not load. Check you are signed in. The page sits inside the app, so a signed-out browser is sent to sign in first.
- The page is locked. It needs Edge or Pro. See Edge and Pro compared.
- The chart is empty. Widen the date range and clear the account filter, then narrow again. See Date range, account and advanced filters.
- You cannot find it in the sidebar. It is not there. Use the address above.
