Add, remove and rearrange widgets on Metrics

Turn on edit mode, move a widget, resize it on the web, take one off the board and put one back from the Add Widget list.

Same on every platform Updated

What this does

The Metrics board is yours to arrange. Edit mode lets you reorder widgets, drop the ones you never read, and add the ones that are not on the board by default.

Before you start

  • Your arrangement is stored per device on iPhone, iPad, Android and Android tablet. It does not follow you to another phone, to a tablet or to the web. Rearranging on your phone leaves the web board untouched, and the reverse is also true.
  • On the web, resizing is available as well as reordering. The apps reorder and remove only.
  • One widget is off the board by default: P&L by Days to Expiry. See P&L by days to expiry.

Steps

  1. Open Metrics in the sidebar.
  2. Press Edit at the top right. The widgets grow handles.
  3. Drag a widget by its body to move it.
  4. Drag the right or bottom edge to resize. Width snaps to a quarter, a half, three quarters or the full row. Height snaps to four steps.
  5. Press the X on a widget to take it off the board.
  6. Press Add to open the Add Widget dialog, then pick a widget to put it back.
  7. Press Done when you have finished.
  1. Tap the bar chart icon, fourth along the row at the bottom of the screen.
  2. Tap Edit in the toolbar.

  4. Tap the remove control on a chart to take it off.

What the Add Widget list contains

The dialog only lists widgets that are not currently on your board. Once everything is on it, the list is empty and says so: “All widgets are already added to your dashboard” on the web, “All Widgets Active” on iPad.

On the web the list is grouped into five sections:

GroupWhat is in it
Performance Metricsthe single-number tiles, from Total P&L to Worst Day
Charts & Visualizationsequity curve, daily P&L, volume, drawdown, calendar, time of day, trade distribution
Analysis & Insightstop and bottom symbols, trading days
Tag & Playbook AnalysisP&L by setups, mistakes, emotions and playbook
Correlation Analysiswellness against trading

What you should see

The board redraws as you move things, and the arrangement is still there when you come back to the screen. On the web, a widget cannot be dragged smaller than its minimum size, so a chart that refuses to shrink further has hit that floor rather than jammed.

If it doesn’t work

  • Your web changes were gone after a reload. Edits to the default layout are not kept. Save a named layout first. See Save and load a layout.
  • The board on your phone does not match the web. It is not meant to. Widget order and visibility are stored on the device.
  • The Add button does nothing. Every widget is already on the board. Remove one to make room.
