Rate a trade
The seven star ratings on a trade, what each one asks, how the overall rating is worked out, and why every trade starts at 3.0 whether you rated it or not.
What this does
Ratings are your own scoring of how well you traded, separate from whether the trade made money. A trade can be a loss and still be a five-star trade, and a lucky win can be a two.
Before you start
Every category starts at 3 stars. There is no unrated state, so a trade you have never opened reports an overall rating of 3.0. Do not read 3.0 as an assessment, yours or VEXA’s. It means untouched.
That also means a rating only tells you something once you have moved it. Rating a handful of trades honestly is worth more than rating everything.
The seven categories
| Category | The question it asks |
|---|---|
| Setup Quality | How well did the setup match your criteria? |
| Entry Timing | How optimal was your entry timing? |
| Position Sizing | Was your position size appropriate? |
| Risk Management | Did you manage risk effectively? |
| Execution Discipline | Did you stick to your plan? |
| Exit Timing | How optimal was your exit timing? |
| Emotional Control | How well did you manage your emotions? |
Each one takes 1 to 5 stars and has its own notes box.
Overall Rating is the plain average of the seven, to one decimal place. Nothing is weighted, so dropping Emotional Control to 1 moves the overall figure by about 0.3.

What you should see
Stars fill as you tap them and the Overall Rating recalculates on screen. Reopen the trade later and your stars and notes are still there.
Your rating also shows up in the Stats panel of Trade Replay on the web app, next to the trade’s P&L and tags.
If it doesn’t work
Every trade says 3.0. That is the default. Nothing is broken and nothing has been rated.
Your notes vanished. Notes save shortly after you stop typing. Closing the page in the same second as your last keystroke can lose the tail of it. Pause before you navigate away.
You cannot find the tab. Ratings live inside Trade Analysis, not on the trades table. Open a trade first.
