Export your trades to CSV

Download the trades you have filtered as a spreadsheet, including the ones on later pages, and know exactly which columns the file contains.

Web Updated

What this does

Export CSV downloads your trades as a spreadsheet file you can open in Excel, Numbers or Google Sheets. It exports the whole filtered set, not just the 100 rows on the page you are looking at.

Before you start

The button is on the web app only. There is no CSV export from the iPhone, iPad, Android phone or Android tablet apps.

Set your filters first. The export is a snapshot of exactly what the table currently holds, so a date range or an account filter you forgot about will be reflected in the file.

If you want everything VEXA holds on you rather than a trade list, that is a different feature: Export My Data in your profile produces a full data export.

Steps

Web only

  1. Open Trades in the sidebar.
  2. Set the date range, filters and account selection you want in the file.
  3. Click Export CSV in the page header.
  4. The file downloads as vexa-trades- followed by today’s date.

What the file contains

One row per trade, in these columns:

Symbol, Open Date, Open Time, Close Date, Close Time, Direction, Quantity, Entry Price, Exit Price, Commission, P&L, Status, Instrument Type, Exchange.

That set is fixed. Columns you hid with Edit Columns are still in the file, and the Tags column some tables show is not.

Open positions are included when your filters allow them, with OPEN in the Close Date column.

Times are written in your display timezone, the same as they appear on screen.

What you should see

A download starts immediately with no confirmation dialog. The row count in the file matches the count printed under the table, for example Showing 1-100 of 4,312 trades gives you 4,312 rows plus a header row.

If it doesn’t work

The button is greyed out. The filtered set is empty, so there is nothing to export. Widen the date range or clear a filter.

The file has fewer rows than you expected. The export honours the account filter and the date range. Set the range to All Time and clear the account selector, then export again.

Times look shifted by an hour on very old trades. Trades imported before VEXA moved to storing true UTC timestamps carry a version marker and are formatted accordingly. Newer trades are not affected.
