Under-18 accounts

What the one-time notice shown to minors says, why it cannot be dismissed, and what it does and does not restrict.

WebiPhoneiPad Updated

What this does

If the date of birth on an account makes its owner under 18, VEXA shows a one-time notice the first time the account is used. It sets expectations about what VEXA is and is not before any trading data goes in.

Before you start

It is shown once, and it cannot be dismissed without reading it. There is no Cancel button, and neither the Escape key nor tapping outside it will close it. One button does, labelled I understand.

It does not restrict your account. Every feature your plan includes stays available. It is an acknowledgment, not a gate.

It is triggered by the date of birth given at setup. If that date is wrong, the notice may appear for an adult account or fail to appear for a minor’s. Date of birth is not editable after setup, so write to support@vexatrade.ai to correct it.

It appears on web, iPhone and iPad.

Steps

Same on Web, iPhone, iPad

  1. Sign in.
  2. Read the notice when it appears.
  3. Tap or click I understand.

What you should see

A sheet headed along the lines of “A quick note before you continue”, which says that VEXA is a trading education and journaling tool, that it does not give financial advice, that trading carries real risk of loss, and that it is best used alongside a parent or guardian.

One button closes it. It does not come back on the next launch.

Afterwards the app behaves exactly as it did before. Nothing is hidden, nothing is limited, and no feature asks about your age again.

If it doesn’t work

The notice keeps reappearing. It is recorded against your account once acknowledged. If it returns on every launch, sign out and back in once. If it still returns, write to support@vexatrade.ai.

It appeared and you are not under 18. The date of birth on the account is wrong. Contact support@vexatrade.ai with the correct date, since that field is not editable after setup.

You want it removed for someone who has since turned 18. It only shows once and does not return, so there is nothing left to remove.
