Set your Trade Display Timezone
Choose the timezone every trade time is shown in, and understand why changing it never alters the underlying data.
What this does
Trade Display Timezone is the clock VEXA shows your trades on. Set it once and every timestamp in the app, plus every calendar day boundary, is drawn in that zone.
Before you start
This is a display setting and nothing else. Your trades are stored with their real times. Changing this setting redraws them, it never edits them. You can change it as often as you like without touching your data.
It decides which day a trade belongs to. A trade filled at 22:30 New York time is late on Tuesday for a New York trader and early Wednesday for a Singapore one. Journal days, the calendar and daily P&L all follow this setting, so if your daily totals look shifted by a day, this is the first thing to check.
It is not the same as Broker Server Timezone. That one describes the clock your broker’s export file was written on, and it changes how a file is read. See Set your Broker Server Timezone.
On Android tablet it opens a pane. The Display Timezone row is in the Settings section there, and tapping it opens the timezone picker in the right pane rather than a full screen.
Steps
- In the sidebar, click your name at the bottom, under which it reads View Profile.
- Scroll to Display Preferences.
- Open Trade Display Timezone.
- Choose your zone.
- Tap the circular avatar at the top right of Home.

- Scroll to Settings and tap Display Timezone.
- Search or scroll the grouped list.
- Tap your zone.
- Tap the circular avatar at the top right of Home.
- Scroll to Settings and tap Display Timezone.
- Search or scroll the list. Each row shows the current time in that zone, which is the quickest way to confirm you have the right one.
- Tap your zone.
- Tap the profile chip at the bottom of the sidebar.
- Scroll to Settings and tap Display Timezone.
- The pane that opens holds Broker Server Timezone first and Display Timezone below it.
- Search or scroll the Display Timezone list and tap your zone.
What you should see
On the web, a confirmation reading “Your trades will display in {zone} time”. If you have never set one, the same card warns “No timezone set. Trades will display in their original market timezone.”
On Android a tick marks the selected row, and every row shows the live time in that zone.
Afterwards, open a trade you know the fill time of and check that it reads what you expect. Then check the journal calendar: trades near midnight are the ones that move between days.
If it doesn’t work
Your daily P&L is a day out. That is this setting. A trade filled close to midnight sits on whichever day the display zone puts it on. Pick the zone you actually think in and the days line up.
Times still look wrong after changing it. Reload the page on web, or leave and re-enter the screen on mobile. Views already on screen keep the times they were drawn with.
The device timezone changed because you travelled, and your journal days moved. VEXA reads this setting rather than the device clock, so set it deliberately. That is why a trip does not silently reshape your history.
The setting did not stick on Android tablet. The picker writes to your account, so give it a moment and reopen the row. If it still shows the old zone, set it from your phone or the web app.
