Sign in with Apple: set a backup password
If Apple is your only way into VEXA, one email gives you a second one, and the link inside it expires after an hour.
What this does
Backup Login emails you a link that sets a password on your VEXA account. It appears only when Apple is the single way into your account, which is the situation where losing your Apple ID would lock you out of VEXA permanently.
Before you start
The card is only there if you need it. It renders when your account signs in with Apple and has no password. If you already have a password, or you also sign in with Google, you will not see it.
The link expires one hour after the email is sent. Request it when you have a minute to finish it, not on the way out the door.
Not on Android tablet. That surface has no Backup Login card. Use the web app in a browser, or your phone.
Hide My Email is a separate problem. If your Apple sign-in gives VEXA a
@privaterelay.appleid.com address, a password on its own does not help, because you would have no
address to type next to it. Read
Using Apple Hide My Email instead.

What you should see
The card explains itself before you tap anything: “If you ever lose access to your Apple ID, you’ll still be able to sign in. We’ll email you a link to set up a backup password.”
After tapping, the card confirms with “Check your email, link expires in 1 hour.” The email comes
from support@vexatrade.ai.
Once the password is set, Connected Accounts shows Email & password as linked, and you can sign in on any surface with your Apple email address and that password. Sign in with Apple keeps working. You have two ways in rather than one.
Setting a password signs you out on your other devices. That is expected. Sign back in and carry on.
If it doesn’t work
There is no Backup Login card. You either already have a password, or you have a second sign-in method linked, in which case you already have the protection this card provides. Check Connected Accounts.
The email never arrived. Check spam, then check which address Apple actually gave VEXA. If it
ends in @privaterelay.appleid.com, read
Using Apple Hide My Email.
The link says it has expired. More than an hour has passed. Send a fresh one from the same card.
You are on an Android tablet and cannot find the card. It is not on that surface. Open
app.vexatrade.ai in the tablet’s browser and do it there.
