Reset a forgotten password

Request a reset link from the web app, and understand why the confirmation never tells you whether the account exists.

Web Updated

What this does

Sends an email with a link that lets you set a new password without knowing the old one.

Before you start

The reset page is a web page, and you can open it in any browser, including the one on the phone or tablet you are stuck on. Go to app.vexatrade.ai/forgot-password.

A reset only works if your account has a password. If you created the account with Google or Apple, there is nothing to reset. Sign in with that button instead. Accounts that sign in with Apple and have no password get a different email back, subject “About signing in to VEXA”, explaining that rather than a dead reset link.

The confirmation is the same whether the account exists or not. That is on purpose. If the page told you “no account with that email”, anyone could use it to test which addresses have VEXA accounts. So a green card appears either way, and a missing account means no email arrives.

Steps

Web only

  1. Go to app.vexatrade.ai/forgot-password.
  2. Type the email address on your VEXA account.
  3. Click Send Reset Link.
  4. Open the email titled “Reset your VEXA password”.
  5. Follow the link, type a new password, and confirm it.

What you should see

On the page, a green card: “Password reset email sent. Check your inbox for instructions to reset your password.”

The email comes from VEXA <support@vexatrade.ai>. Its link opens a VEXA-branded page with a new-password form, then a success screen with a Continue button that takes you into the app.

Your new password must meet the same rules as any other: at least 8 characters, with an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter, a number and a special character.

If it doesn’t work

No email after a few minutes. In order: check spam, check the address for a typo, then check whether the account was created with Google or Apple rather than a password. If you get the email titled “About signing in to VEXA” instead, use Continue with Apple to sign in, then read Sign in with Apple: set a backup password.

The link opens an error page. Reset links are single-use and time-limited. Request a fresh one from the same page.

You know the account exists but nothing arrives on any attempt. Your address may have been suppressed after a bounce. Write to support@vexatrade.ai from another address and say which address you are trying to recover.

You do not remember which email address you used. Try each one. The page answers identically every time, so the arriving email is the only signal.
