Give or revoke AI consent
Read the consent VEXA asks for word for word, find the setting on your surface, and see exactly what revoking stops and what it leaves behind.
What this does
VEXA’s coaching features send some of your data to an outside AI service for processing. Nothing is sent until you agree, and the agreement is one switch you can turn off later.
The consent, word for word
This is the dialog, titled AI-Powered Features. The wording is identical on web, iPhone, iPad and Android.
VEXA’s AI Coach, AI coaching, Voice Journaling, CDI insights, and trading insights use a secure, US-based third-party AI service to analyze your data (described in our Privacy Policy). With your permission, the following data is sent to this AI service for real-time processing: your trading information (trades, P&L, and journal notes), your voice recordings, and your chat messages.
Your data is sent only after you agree below, and only as needed to provide these features. Audio is not retained after your session ends, and your data is not used to train general-purpose AI models. The AI provider applies data-protection safeguards equivalent to our own. You can revoke this consent anytime in Settings.
The buttons are Cancel and I Understand and Agree. A Read full privacy policy link opens the privacy policy, which is the document to read for the full detail, including who the provider is.
For a per-feature breakdown of what leaves your account, see What data VEXA sends to its AI service.
Before you start
What the consent gates is not the same on every surface.
| Surface | Blocked until you agree |
|---|---|
| Web | VEXA Voice, including voice started from a journal day. Text chat is not blocked. |
| iPhone, iPad, Android, Android tablet | Chat, voice, and every other AI feature in the app |
The setting is stored on your account, so agreeing on one device covers all of them. Android tablet is the exception for changing your mind: it has no AI Services row, so a revoke has to be done on your phone or on the web.
Steps
- Click your name in the sidebar footer, then View Profile.
- Scroll to the Settings card.
- Click AI Services.
- Read the dialog, then choose I Understand and Agree to grant, or Revoke Consent to turn it off.
- Open Home and tap the circular avatar at the top right.
- Scroll to Settings.
- Tap AI Services.
- Read the dialog, then tap I Understand and Agree to grant, or Revoke Consent to turn it off.
- Tap the profile chip at the bottom of the sidebar, then View Profile.
- Scroll to Settings.
- Tap AI Services.
- Read the dialog, then tap I Understand and Agree to grant, or Revoke Consent to turn it off.
- Open Home and tap the circular avatar at the top right.
- Scroll to Settings.
- Tap AI Services.
- Read the dialog, then tap I Understand and Agree to grant, or Revoke Consent to turn it off.
- Open VEXA Chat or VEXA Voice from the sidebar. If you have not agreed yet, the AI-Powered Features dialog appears on its own.
- Read it, then tap I Understand and Agree.
- To revoke instead, open VEXA on your phone or on the web and follow the steps on those tabs. This surface has no AI Services row.
What you should see
The AI Services row carries its own status underneath it: Granted on with the date you agreed, or Not granted. On web a toast confirms the change, reading “AI services consent granted” or “AI services consent revoked”.
After revoking on a phone or tablet, opening chat or voice raises the consent dialog again rather than a conversation.
What revoking does, and what it does not
It does:
- Stop VEXA sending anything further to the AI service.
- Block chat and voice in the apps until you agree again.
It does not:
- Delete your chat history, voice transcripts, session summaries or the facts VEXA has remembered about you. Those stay in your account and stay in your data export.
- Reach back and unsend anything already processed.
- Turn off anything outside the AI features. Your trades, journal, metrics and Sentinel biometrics are unaffected.
To remove the stored material as well, export your data first if you want a copy, then delete your account. Both live in your profile.
If it doesn’t work
You revoked on the web and your phone still lets you chat. The app reads consent again when it reloads. Force-close it and reopen, or sign out and back in.
The dialog keeps reappearing after you agree. The agreement is saved on the server, so this usually means the save failed. Web shows “Failed to process consent. Please try again.” Check your connection and try once more.
You cannot find AI Services on an Android tablet. It is not there. Use your phone or the web.
