Why there's no community chat

What this does

VEXA communities used to have message threads. They were removed in April 2026 and nothing in the app says so, which is why you are here.

If you remember typing messages to other members and cannot find where, you are not looking in the wrong place. The feature is gone.

Why it was removed

App store rules for user-generated content require a full moderation stack behind any place where people can post to each other: reporting, blocking, a review process, and a way to act on a report quickly. Running that properly is a serious commitment for a small team.

Rather than ship a partial version of it, chat was taken out. That was a deliberate call, not an outage or a bug, and there is no setting that turns it back on.

What communities do now

A community is now a ranking group with a roster. Joining one changes who you are compared against on the leaderboards and puts you on its member list. See Leaderboard periods, scopes and metrics.

Where the conversation moved

The VEXA Discord server. That is where recaps, trading psychology threads and direct access to the team live, and it is where support tickets are opened.

Linking your account adds you to the server without an invite link and assigns your roles automatically. See Connect Discord.

What you should see

Open any community you belong to and you get its name, its member count, an invite code if you are an admin, and the member list. There is no message box, no thread list and no unread badge anywhere on the screen. That is the current design.

If it doesn’t work

• You still see a chat box. You are on an old build. Update from the App Store or Google Play.
• Old messages you wrote are missing. They went with the feature in April 2026. Nothing is stored, there is no read path left anywhere in VEXA, and support cannot recover a thread.
• You want to reach someone from a community. There is no way to message them inside VEXA. Discord is the route.
