Community settings and deletion
What an admin sees in community settings, and what deleting a community destroys. Deletion asks you to type the community name and cannot be undone.
What this does
Community settings is the admin screen. It holds the community’s own numbers, the invite code, and the control that deletes the community.
Only admins can reach it. Moderators and members do not see it.
Before you start
Deletion is permanent and there is no undo. It removes the community, every membership in it, and the moderation record. Members are not warned in advance. The community disappears from their list the next time they open it.
Deleting a community does not touch anybody’s trades, journal or account. It only destroys the group.
If you want out of a community you did not create, you want Leave a community instead.
What settings shows

Free communities hold up to 100 members.
Steps
- Choose Communities in the sidebar, then open the Communities tab.
- Open the community.
- Open its settings.
- To delete it, go to the danger zone, read the list of what will be destroyed, type the community name into the confirmation field, and confirm.
- On Home, tap the Communities & Leaderboards card.
- Tap the Communities tab, then open the community.
- Open the overflow menu and tap Settings.
- To delete it, use Delete Community in the danger zone and confirm.
- On Home, tap the Communities & Leaderboards card.
- Tap the Communities tab, then open the community.
- Tap the gear icon.
- To delete it, use Delete Community in the danger zone and confirm.
What deletion destroys
The confirmation spells this out before you commit, and it is worth reading rather than clicking through:
- The community itself
- Every membership, listed with the current member count
- The moderation record for the community
- The invite code, which stops working immediately
None of it can be restored afterwards, including by support.
What you should see
On the web, the delete button stays disabled until you have typed the community name exactly into the confirmation field. Case and spacing have to match what is on screen.
Once deletion goes through you are returned to your community list and the community is no longer on it. The leaderboard’s community filter drops it on the next refresh.
If it doesn’t work
- The delete button will not enable. The name you typed does not match. Copy it from the community header rather than retyping it.
- You do not see a settings control at all. You are a moderator or a member. Only the admin who created the community sees settings.
- You wanted to leave, not delete. An admin leaving is a different action. See Leave a community.
- The community is full and you want more room. The maximum comes from the tier shown in the stats. Free stops at 100. Ask support at support@vexatrade.ai about anything larger.
