Join or create a community
Join with an 8-character invite code or start your own. Free communities hold up to 100 members and generate their invite code for you.
What this does
A community is a named group of traders with its own leaderboard. Join one and you can filter every leaderboard to its members, so you are ranked against a few dozen people you have something in common with rather than everyone on VEXA.
There are three ways in: an invite code from someone who is already a member, browsing the public list, or creating your own.
Before you start
Communities and leaderboards are part of Edge and Pro on every platform. A free account gets the paywall instead of the screen, on the web, on iPhone, on iPad and on both Android surfaces.
A free community holds up to 100 members. Creating one makes you its admin, and the invite code is generated for you rather than chosen.
Joining a community does not publish anything new about you. What members see on the leaderboard is still whatever you selected in Choose what you share on the leaderboard.
Steps
- Choose Communities in the sidebar, then open the Communities tab.
- To join, choose Join Community, type the code into the 8-character field, and confirm.
- To create one, choose Create Community, enter a name and a description, and confirm.
- On Home, tap the Communities & Leaderboards card.
- Tap the Communities tab.
- To join, tap Join Community and enter the 8-character code.

- Choose Communities in the sidebar.
- Open the community list.
- Use Join Community for a code, or Create Community to start your own.
What you should see
After joining, the community appears in your list and its name becomes selectable in the leaderboard’s community filter. Public communities run by VEXA carry a badge in the card corner.
After creating, you are the admin. Open the community and you get an invite code to share, a member list with you on it, and a settings control other members do not have. See Invite codes.
Before you join anything, the list reads “No Communities Yet”. That is the empty state, not a loading failure.
If it doesn’t work
- The code is rejected. Codes are 8 characters and case-insensitive, so capitals are not the problem. Check for a typo, and check the community has not regenerated its code since you were given it.
- “Community Not Found”. The community was deleted, or the link points at an id that no longer exists.
- The community is full. A free community stops at 100 members. The admin has to remove someone or move to a larger tier.
- “Failed to Load”. A network or permission problem rather than a missing community. Refresh, and check you are signed in on the account you expect.
- A community you joined does not appear in the leaderboard filter. Refresh the leaderboard. The filter list is fetched once per load.
