Choose what you share on the leaderboard
Your leaderboard metrics are a checklist, and that checklist is also the opt-out. Turn every metric off and you disappear from the leaderboards.
What this does
VEXA leaderboards rank traders on metrics you choose to publish. Six are available:
| Metric | What other traders see |
|---|---|
| VEXA Score | Your overall score |
| Confidence | Your Confidence ring value |
| Discipline | Your Discipline ring value |
| Intuition | Your Intuition ring value |
| Daily P&L | Your profit or loss for the period |
| Win Rate | Your win rate for the period |
Nothing else leaves your account. Your trades, journal entries, broker connections and account balances are never published, whatever you select here.
Before you start
There is no participate switch. Read that twice, because the screen does not say it anywhere obvious. Sharing at least one metric puts you on the leaderboards. Sharing none takes you off them entirely. The metric checklist is the only control there is, and turning it all off is the full opt-out.
Communities and leaderboards are part of Edge and Pro on every platform. A free account gets the paywall instead of the screen, on the web, on iPhone, on iPad and on both Android surfaces.
Steps
- Choose Communities in the sidebar. The page opens on the Leaderboards tab.
- Choose Settings in the header row.
- Scroll the panel to Shared Metrics.
- Turn on each metric you want published. Select All and Deselect All switch all six at once.
- Close the panel. There is no save button, because each toggle saves on its own.
- On Home, tap the Communities & Leaderboards card.
- Tap the Leaderboards tab.
- Open Leaderboard Settings.
- Scroll to Shared Metrics.
- Tap a metric to turn it on or off. Select All and Deselect All switch all six at once.
- On Home, tap the Communities & Leaderboards card.
- Tap the Leaderboards tab.
- Tap the gear icon on the Your Rank card to open Leaderboard Settings. You can also open Profile from the avatar at the top right of Home, scroll to Settings, and choose Leaderboard Settings.
- Scroll to Shared Metrics.
- Tick each metric you want published.
What you should see
The settings panel tells you your current state before you leave it.
- With every metric on, the web panel shows a green line: “You are visible on the leaderboards.”
- With no metric on, it shows an amber line: “You are not on the leaderboards. Enable at least one metric to appear.”
- On Android the same rule is stated in the info card above the checkboxes: “Toggle which metrics are visible on the leaderboard. Deselect all to opt out entirely.”
Back on the leaderboard itself with nothing shared, the web app shows an amber “You are viewing privately” card reading “No metrics are currently shared, so you will not appear in any leaderboard”, with a Choose metrics button next to it.
How to leave the leaderboards
Deselect every metric. That is the opt-out, and it takes effect straight away.
You keep full read access afterwards. You can still open the leaderboards, filter them, and see where everyone else ranks. Other traders stop seeing you, and your row disappears from every period and every scope at once.
If it doesn’t work
- You opted out but you can still see other traders. Working as intended. Opting out removes you from other people’s view. It does not hide the leaderboard from you.
- You share metrics but do not appear anywhere. Check the scope first. Country and Region rankings need a location on your account, so see Set your location. Then check the period, since a period with no closed trades has nothing to rank.
- A metric you expected is missing from the list. Six metrics exist and the list is fixed. Nothing you add elsewhere in VEXA adds a seventh.
- The whole screen is behind a paywall. Communities is an Edge and Pro feature on every platform. See Edge vs Pro.
