Set your location for country and region rankings

Country and Region leaderboards stay greyed out until your account has a location. Here is where to set it and what it publishes.

What this does

Leaderboards have three scopes: Country, Region and Global. Global works for everyone. Country and Region need to know where you are, so they stay disabled until you set a location on your account.

Setting it also lets VEXA suggest communities near you when you browse.

Before you start

Your location is a country you pick from a list. VEXA does not read your device GPS for this, and it does not narrow you down to a city.

The country you choose is used to place you in a country leaderboard and a regional one. Other traders in those leaderboards can see which country you are ranked in.

Steps

  1. Choose Communities in the sidebar.
  2. Choose Settings in the header row. If you have never set a location, you can also use the Set Location button on the yellow “Location Not Set” card.
  3. Find the Location section, described as “Used for country and regional leaderboard rankings”.
  4. Type into Search countries… and pick yours. The list shows the first 30 matches with the region each belongs to.

  2. Tap the Leaderboards tab.
  3. Open Leaderboard Settings.
  4. Use the country picker, then the region picker.

  3. Tap the gear icon on the Your Rank card to open Leaderboard Settings. You can also open Profile from the avatar at the top right of Home, scroll to Settings, and choose Leaderboard Settings.
  4. Open the Location picker, filter with the region chips or search, and choose your country.

What you should see

Back on the leaderboard, the Country and Region scope options stop being greyed out and become selectable. The yellow “Location Not Set” card on the web disappears.

Pick Country and your rank line reads how you place among traders in your country rather than in the world.

Regions

Your region follows from your country. You do not choose it separately on the web, since the country list shows which region each country sits in. Two traders in different countries can share a regional leaderboard for that reason.

If it doesn’t work

  • Country and Region are still greyed out. The location did not save. Reopen the settings panel and confirm your country is shown, then refresh the leaderboard.
  • You set a location but have no rank. A location makes the scope available. Appearing in it still needs at least one shared metric. See Choose what you share on the leaderboard.
  • Your country is not in the search results. The list caps at the first 30 matches, so type more of the name to narrow it.
  • You want the location removed. Switch to the Global scope to stop using it. Ask support at support@vexatrade.ai if you want it cleared from your account.
