Replay the guided walkthrough

Run the spotlight tour again from Profile, and see which parts replay and which are done for good.

What this does

Runs the guided tour again. The tour dims the screen, cuts a spotlight around one control at a time, and explains what it does. It runs once after onboarding, and once per device when you install a build that has new stops in it.

The web app has no tour. This is one of the four app surfaces only.

Before you start

The tour is remembered per device, not per account. Reinstalling the app, or signing in on a second phone, starts it again on its own. That is expected.

One stop in the tour is live rather than a picture. On the scores step you can tap inside the spotlight and open a real score breakdown. Tapping the dimmed area moves to the next stop.

The tour needs the thing it is pointing at to exist. Stops for features you cannot see are skipped rather than pointing at nothing.

Steps

  1. Open Home and tap the circular avatar at the top right.
  2. Scroll to Settings.
  3. Tap App Walkthrough.

What you should see

The screen dims and the first spotlight appears, with SKIP in the corner and a control to move on. Skip ends the whole tour rather than moving past the current stop.

On iPhone and Android phone the stops run in this order:

  1. Your First Week Is On Us, on the Full Access pill. Only appears while Full Access is running.
  2. Add Your Broker Accounts, on the profile avatar.
  3. Meet Sentinel, on the Sentinel button in the Home header.
  4. Tap Into Your Scores, on the CDI rings. Home scrolls down to bring them into view. You can tap through this one.
  5. VEXA Chat, on the second tab.
  6. VEXA Voice, on the third tab.
  7. Trading Metrics, on the fourth tab.
  8. Your Journal, on the fifth tab.

On iPad and Android tablet the scores step comes first, then six sidebar rows: Profile, Sentinel, Chat, Voice, Metrics and Journal. The sidebar is forced open for those stops and returns to how you had it when the tour ends. Rotating the tablet mid tour re-aims the spotlights rather than breaking them.

Sentinel has its own three-stop tour, which runs the first time you open Sentinel on that device rather than as part of this one.

What a replay does not bring back

If it doesn’t work

The first stop about Full Access never appears. It only runs while your free week is active. If you are on a paid plan or the week has ended, the tour starts at the broker accounts stop.

A spotlight is pointing at nothing. Older Android builds could leave a spotlight over a control you had navigated away from. Update the app from Google Play.

You cannot find App Walkthrough. It sits inside the Settings section of Profile, below the timezone and notification rows. There is no separate Settings screen to look for.
