Move your journal from Edgewonk to VEXA

Export your Edgewonk history as CSV, import it with VEXA AI Import, and run both while you compare Edgewonk's Tiltmeter against VEXA's CDI scores.

Web Updated

What this does

Gets your Edgewonk history into VEXA so the Confidence, Discipline and Intuition scores have your real record behind them from day one.

Do the import on the web. VEXA AI Import takes a CSV, maps the columns itself, and previews the result before writing anything.

Before you start

Run both for a couple of weeks. Edgewonk’s Tiltmeter and VEXA’s CDI scores are answering related questions in different ways, and the comparison is only meaningful on the same trades. There is no need to stop using Edgewonk to import from it.

A broker export is the better source where you have one. VEXA rebuilds trades from individual executions. Import the broker file as your base and use the Edgewonk export for older history the broker will not give you.

Your Edgewonk notes and custom fields will not carry across as notes. VEXA imports trades, not another product’s journal schema. Anything in a free text column may land in a note field or may be ignored, depending on the export. Check the preview before you confirm.

MetaTrader users, read this first. If your Edgewonk history came from MetaTrader 4 or 5, connect MetaTrader to VEXA directly rather than importing a second-hand copy. VEXA has its own MetaTrader support, and going to the source avoids a round of column guessing.

Steps

Web only

  1. In Edgewonk, export your trades as a CSV. Their documentation is the authority on where that export currently sits.
  2. In VEXA, open Profile from the sidebar.
  3. Find the VEXA AI Import / Manual CSV Template card and open it.
  4. Under Select Your Broker, search for the broker the trades were taken at rather than for Edgewonk.
  5. Under Select Target Account, pick an existing account or create one for the imported history.
  6. Drag the CSV into the upload area.
  7. Press Analyze with VEXA AI and wait for the status to reach Ready to Import.
  8. In Timezone Settings, set the timezone the file’s times are recorded in, then set the timezone you want to read trades in.
  9. Read the preview of the first ten rows. Forex pairs should read as six characters, such as EURUSD, and the sides should match what you actually did.
  10. Press Confirm Import.

What you should see

Counters for Total, Parsed, Rejected and Symbols while the file is read, then an Import Complete panel with Trades Created, Open Positions Updated and Duplicates Skipped.

Open your trades list afterwards and check a handful of trades against Edgewonk, including at least one loss. Losses are where a sign or a side error shows up first.

If it doesn’t work

“We couldn’t parse this file yet.” The layout was not readable. The message offers a support request that sends the file to the team so a parser can be added.

Dates came in wrong by a month. A date like 05/06/2026 is read as May 6th unless the first number is greater than 12. If your export writes day first, re-export in ISO format, meaning YYYY-MM-DD, before importing.

Rows with commas in a notes column broke. The importer splits on commas and does not handle quoted fields containing them. Remove commas from free text columns and re-export.

Your P&L does not match Edgewonk’s. Check gross against net. Commissions and fees have to be present in the file for VEXA to subtract them.
