Tradovate Trading Journal
Journal Tradovate futures in VEXA. The performance report carries real fees and exact profit. The orders export has no commission, so VEXA estimates it.

-
If you have the round-trip performance report, use it. It carries the real fees and the real net profit for each trade, so nothing has to be reconstructed and nothing has to be estimated. Funded-account traders on Topstep and similar firms usually already have this export.
-
Upload it to VEXA. It is recognised automatically from its header row, on both the normal upload and the AI import page, and there is nothing to configure.
-
If you only have the Orders export, sign in at trader.tradovate.com, open Reports, then the Orders tab, set the date range and download the CSV.
-
Upload that instead, knowing the commission is estimated. VEXA resolves contract sizes from the symbol, and Tradovate symbols carry a single-digit year like MGCQ6, which is handled alongside the double-digit form.

What VEXA does with your Tradovate trades
Importing is the boring half. Once your fills are in, VEXA rebuilds each round trip, scores how you traded it, and keeps a record you can actually argue with.
The journal writes itself
Every fill becomes a trade with the entry, exit, size, fees and net result already filled in. Daily, weekly and monthly journals are built from that, so your review starts with reading rather than typing.
A CDI score, updated daily
VEXA grades Confidence, Discipline and Intuition from how you actually traded, not just what you made. It is a patent-pending framework (US App #64/030,397) and the score moves with your activity each day.
Your rules, graded every trading day
Set the limits you want to hold yourself to, like a daily loss cap or a maximum position size, and VEXA marks each day against them so a broken rule is a fact rather than a feeling.
Playbooks that show what works
Tag your setups and VEXA tracks each one across enough trades to say something meaningful about it, instead of leaving you to judge an edge from the last three results.
Patterns you would not catch by eye
VEXA reads your history for repeated behaviour: the hour you tend to give profit back, the size you jump to after a loss, the setup you keep taking when conditions do not suit it.
A coach you can talk to
Ask about a single trade, a bad week, or your last drawdown, by chat or out loud by voice. The answers come from your own imported trades rather than generic advice.
VEXA is an educational tool for reviewing your own trading. It does not provide financial advice, and it never places orders or moves money in your broker account.
Tradovate questions, answered
The things people ask before connecting Tradovate. If yours is not here, the help centre goes deeper, and you can always ask us directly.
Contact usBecause the Orders export has no commission in it at all. Tradovate leaves it out, so VEXA fills the gap with an estimate of $0.79 per contract on micro futures and $1.29 per contract on standard futures. That is close for most accounts and exact for none. It is an estimate doing its job rather than a parsing error, and it is why the performance report is the better file.
The round-trip performance report whenever you have one, because its profit figures are exact. Nothing is reconstructed and nothing is estimated.
