MetaTrader 4 Trading Journal

MT4 is your broker's terminal, so connecting it connects your broker. Automated Sync pulls your closed trades once a day from just your investor password, no install needed, or run the Expert Advisor for real-time updates.

How VEXA imports your MetaTrader 4 trades

  1. Use Automated Sync: enter your broker, server, account number and investor password. Nothing to install, and it works from your phone as easily as your desktop.

  2. VEXA pulls your closed trades once a day at an hour you choose, plus a Sync Now button whenever you want fresh numbers on demand.

  3. Want updates faster than once a day? Install the VEXA Sync Expert Advisor in your desktop MetaTrader instead. It reads your closed trades and sends them to VEXA every sixty seconds in real time while the terminal is open.

  4. Set your broker server timezone in VEXA first, whichever route you pick. MetaTrader servers run on their own clock, the default assumes GMT+2, and plenty of brokers are not on it. The wrong offset moves every trade onto the wrong day.

  5. For back history, or if you would rather not connect anything, set Account History to All History, right-click inside it and choose Save as Detailed Report, then upload the .htm file to VEXA.

After the import

What VEXA does with your MetaTrader 4 trades

Importing is the boring half. Once your fills are in, VEXA rebuilds each round trip, scores how you traded it, and keeps a record you can actually argue with.

The journal writes itself

Every fill becomes a trade with the entry, exit, size, fees and net result already filled in. Daily, weekly and monthly journals are built from that, so your review starts with reading rather than typing.

A CDI score, updated daily

VEXA grades Confidence, Discipline and Intuition from how you actually traded, not just what you made. It is a patent-pending framework (US App #64/030,397) and the score moves with your activity each day.

Your rules, graded every trading day

Set the limits you want to hold yourself to, like a daily loss cap or a maximum position size, and VEXA marks each day against them so a broken rule is a fact rather than a feeling.

Playbooks that show what works

Tag your setups and VEXA tracks each one across enough trades to say something meaningful about it, instead of leaving you to judge an edge from the last three results.

Patterns you would not catch by eye

VEXA reads your history for repeated behaviour: the hour you tend to give profit back, the size you jump to after a loss, the setup you keep taking when conditions do not suit it.

A coach you can talk to

Ask about a single trade, a bad week, or your last drawdown, by chat or out loud by voice. The answers come from your own imported trades rather than generic advice.

VEXA is an educational tool for reviewing your own trading. It does not provide financial advice, and it never places orders or moves money in your broker account.

Whichever one gave you the terminal. MT4 is not a broker, it is the platform your forex or CFD broker hands you, so connecting MT4 connects your broker. Several hundred brokers reach VEXA this way.

Automated Sync connects through your broker's investor password directly to VEXA's servers, with nothing to install, and it works from any device including your phone. It syncs once a day at an hour you choose, plus a Sync Now button on demand. The Expert Advisor is real time instead of once a day, but it needs a desktop terminal running MetaTrader.

No. Mobile MetaTrader cannot run custom Expert Advisors on any phone or tablet, so that route needs a desktop. Automated Sync has no such limit, connect it entirely from your phone with your broker, server, account number and investor password.

Detailed. The right-click menu offers both, and the Normal report leaves out commission, swap and profit detail. Without those VEXA cannot reconstruct some trades, so an import that comes back thin or empty is usually this.

For the Expert Advisor, nothing arrives while the terminal is shut, and trades you closed sync the next time you open it. Automated Sync is unaffected either way, since it does not depend on the terminal being open.

No. It is included on paid VEXA plans, the same as every other broker connection.

Quantities are shown in lots, where one lot is 100,000 units of the base currency. Swap is treated as a signed amount, so a swap credit reduces your cost instead of being added as though it were a charge, and carry trades read correctly.

Trade somewhere else too?

VEXA connects to every broker in the directory, and each one keeps its own account inside a single journal.
