-
Sign in at clientcenter.tradestation.com. The export lives in the account website, not in the TradeStation platform, which is the step that catches almost everyone once.
-
Open Tax Center, set a date range of six months or less, choose the Microsoft Excel CSV format and download the file.
-
Upload it to VEXA, then repeat for each earlier six-month block, oldest first. Ordering them that way is not required, but it means positions open and close in the order they really did.
-
VEXA reads Symbol, Date, Trans Type, Quantity, Price, Commission and Amount from the standard export, rebuilds each trade from the fills, and scores it.
Step by step, with screenshots: the TradeStation setup guide in the VEXA help centre.
What VEXA does with your TradeStation trades
Importing is the boring half. Once your fills are in, VEXA rebuilds each round trip, scores how you traded it, and keeps a record you can actually argue with.
The journal writes itself
Every fill becomes a trade with the entry, exit, size, fees and net result already filled in. Daily, weekly and monthly journals are built from that, so your review starts with reading rather than typing.
A CDI score, updated daily
VEXA grades Confidence, Discipline and Intuition from how you actually traded, not just what you made. It is a patent-pending framework (US App #64/030,397) and the score moves with your activity each day.
Your rules, graded every trading day
Set the limits you want to hold yourself to, like a daily loss cap or a maximum position size, and VEXA marks each day against them so a broken rule is a fact rather than a feeling.
Playbooks that show what works
Tag your setups and VEXA tracks each one across enough trades to say something meaningful about it, instead of leaving you to judge an edge from the last three results.
Patterns you would not catch by eye
VEXA reads your history for repeated behaviour: the hour you tend to give profit back, the size you jump to after a loss, the setup you keep taking when conditions do not suit it.
A coach you can talk to
Ask about a single trade, a bad week, or your last drawdown, by chat or out loud by voice. The answers come from your own imported trades rather than generic advice.
VEXA is an educational tool for reviewing your own trading. It does not provide financial advice, and it never places orders or moves money in your broker account.
TradeStation questions, answered
The things people ask before connecting TradeStation. If yours is not here, the help centre goes deeper, and you can always ask us directly.
Contact usTradeStation caps the export at six months per download and there is no setting that lifts it, so several years of history means several files. Uploading them all is safe because overlapping ranges are discarded rather than duplicated.
Not yet. The connection shows a Coming soon banner, so file import is the route today.
No, live accounts only. Demo and paper account exports are not a supported format.
Re-import the months in question. Re-importing never creates duplicates, so checking costs you nothing. If a futures trade is out by exactly the contract size, the result panel will have warned you that the contract was not recognised: report the symbol rather than editing the trade by hand.
Trade somewhere else too?
VEXA connects to every broker in the directory, and each one keeps its own account inside a single journal.
