Coinbase Trading Journal
Coinbase syncs with VEXA every six hours using an Advanced Trade API key. Export Transaction History, not the gain and loss report, for older trades.
Connects with Secret API key (HMAC / ECDSA) and pulls on its own.

-
Sign in at portal.cdp.coinbase.com and create an Advanced Trade secret API key. Both HMAC and ECDSA keys work. Give it read access only.
-
Copy the key and its secret when they are shown, paste them into VEXA on the Coinbase page, and save.
-
VEXA then pulls every six hours. Each scheduled pull covers the last twenty-four hours, and a sync you start yourself reaches back thirty days.
-
For anything older, generate a Transaction History report from Statements on coinbase.com, download the CSV and upload it. Do not use the Gain and Loss report.

What VEXA does with your Coinbase trades
Importing is the boring half. Once your fills are in, VEXA rebuilds each round trip, scores how you traded it, and keeps a record you can actually argue with.
The journal writes itself
Every fill becomes a trade with the entry, exit, size, fees and net result already filled in. Daily, weekly and monthly journals are built from that, so your review starts with reading rather than typing.
A CDI score, updated daily
VEXA grades Confidence, Discipline and Intuition from how you actually traded, not just what you made. It is a patent-pending framework (US App #64/030,397) and the score moves with your activity each day.
Your rules, graded every trading day
Set the limits you want to hold yourself to, like a daily loss cap or a maximum position size, and VEXA marks each day against them so a broken rule is a fact rather than a feeling.
Playbooks that show what works
Tag your setups and VEXA tracks each one across enough trades to say something meaningful about it, instead of leaving you to judge an edge from the last three results.
Patterns you would not catch by eye
VEXA reads your history for repeated behaviour: the hour you tend to give profit back, the size you jump to after a loss, the setup you keep taking when conditions do not suit it.
A coach you can talk to
Ask about a single trade, a bad week, or your last drawdown, by chat or out loud by voice. The answers come from your own imported trades rather than generic advice.
VEXA is an educational tool for reviewing your own trading. It does not provide financial advice, and it never places orders or moves money in your broker account.
Coinbase questions, answered
The things people ask before connecting Coinbase. If yours is not here, the help centre goes deeper, and you can always ask us directly.
Contact usTransaction History. The Gain and Loss report is the one Coinbase pushes hardest at tax time and it is the one VEXA cannot read, because it summarises tax lots instead of listing fills. There is nothing in it to rebuild a trade from, so the import fails or comes back empty.
Every six hours. Each scheduled pull covers the last twenty-four hours and a manual sync reaches thirty days, so history older than a month comes from a file.
No. Read access is enough. VEXA does not place trades and does not move funds.
Because you have not sold it. A long-held spot balance is an open position and VEXA shows it as one.
Check that the date range covers actual trading. A statement covering only transfers and deposits imports nothing, correctly, because there are no trades in it. Everything Coinbase reports is in UTC.
Trade somewhere else too?
VEXA connects to every broker in the directory, and each one keeps its own account inside a single journal.
